About Gartner Insurance
Gartner Insurance began when Mark Gartner started his insurance career in Gallup, NM in 1989. In the beginning we only offered Health and Life Insurance products. In 2010 Chris Gartner joined Mark and we expanded the types of Insurance we offered. Chris Gartner also became Lead Broker for BeWellNM and in 2024 was named Top Broker in NM for BeWellNM/Blue Cross Blue Shield NM. For more than a decade now we have offered both Personal & Commercial products as well as Classic Car.
We have expanded our product line to more than 30 types of insurance coverage. We have appointments with many major insurance companies. We can help you find the best insurance for your needs with local representation in NM & AZ.

Classic Cars and Classic Car Insurance is something Chris Gartner is passionate about. In 2024 he purchased an amazing 1971 Dodge Super Bee. The car sports an original 440 Magnum with a 3 speed Slapstick Shifter on a 727 Torqueflite transmission. Sublime Lime with White Interior. Meet the Team
Mark C. Gartner
Mark was raised in Dallas, Texas with his brother and 2 sisters. Mark met Jeannette Vidal in Albuquerque in 1960 and eventually they married. They have lived here in Gallup since 1962. He has raised 3 sons, Scott the eldest, Eric, the middle child and Chris, the youngest.

Many of you might remember other businesses Mark has been with in Gallup such as: Pacesetter's Realty, Sundancer Indian Jewelry or Swinfords Men's Clothing.
Mark participates in many organizations that promote our area and its people.

Chris C. Gartner
I was born and raised in Gallup, NM. I spent more than 20 years away from here, much of it in Las Cruces, NM.
One of the reasons I returned to Gallup was to raise my youngest son Nicolas. I was granted custody of my son in 2008.
Chris has extensive experience in Management and Retail Sales. He spent years selling high end cooking and custom kitchen appliances. Audio surround sound and video systems are also something he particularly enjoys. He likes playing racquetball as well as going target shooting.

Several years ago he also took up droning and is the proud owner of a DJI Phantom 4 Professional drone. Some of his pictures can be seen on the Catalpa Hills website.

Bernadette came to Gartner Insurance in 2020 as our Office Manager. She already had several years of experience selling in the insurance industry in the Gallup area by the time she came to work with us. Bernadette has been an excellent addition to our team. Keep up the good work!
